Basic Education in Thailand is provided by the government. However, in the rural areas of the North and Northeast, poor families often cannot afford paying for their children’s transport to school, meals, educational material, special courses, and uniforms. Rural schools are generally less well equipped than schools in the cities. Many high school students will commute 60 to 80 kilometers to schools in the nearest city. This is why HopeHouse has been founded. It is the main goal of the Foundation to support these families in need so that their children can start their professional lives with a solid education.
